Located in a section of the former convent within the museum complex, MUMO and the Multimedia Museum “The Places of Braccio Fortebraccio” serve as exhibition and multimedia spaces that tell the story of Montone. They allow visitors to explore the area, its events, and especially the experiences of the great condottiero Braccio Fortebraccio, who significantly shaped its destiny.
The space, inaugurated in 2024, consists of five rooms that tell the story of “The Places of Braccio Fortebraccio da Montone” through a first presentation, while the second “exhibit” recounts the history of the Fortebracci family, enriched with brief theatrical scenes that local residents, members of the Montone Pro Loco, amateurly perform each year during the historical reenactment in August.
Art gallery
Since 1995, the Art Gallery, located in the former Franciscan convent, has housed significant works of sacred and devotional art, mostly originating from religious and civic buildings in the area, particularly from the adjoining Church of San Francesco.

Church of San Francesco
In the Castel Vecchio area, on one of the two hills that make up the Borgo montonese, near the main square and almost protecting the city walls, stands the Church of San Francesco with its convent of the same name. The loss of the archive at the end of the 1700s, due to a fire that damaged the structure and interior decoration, has led to uncertainty about the presence of the minorite settlement.
